Brittany L. Alker, age 30, of West Mifflin, on Thursday, March 12, 2020.

In this challenging, confusing and concerning time of our communities dealing with COVID-19 (corona virus), our funeral homes want to assure you that we are all in this together. We are all here committed to the care and concern to the families we serve. The Funeral Director’s of Allegheny County are working diligently within the Federal and State guidelines to continue to provide the utmost care while respecting the health concerns now facing our community. We would like to assure every family that we will continue to respond immediately when our services are needed. While large gatherings are not permitted at the moment, we assure you that small private viewings, services and burials will still be accomplished.

As we can control the cleanliness of our facilities, we cannot control the amount of people that attend visitations or funeral ceremonies. With that said, we ask that anyone feeling ill, anyone who has recently traveled through COVID-9 infected areas and any high risk individuals refrain from attending. Our funeral homes have online condolences that we encourage you to visit. We will continue to monitor the ever changing situation and make decisions based on guidance from the CDC and local health agencies. While we are going through some unprecedented times, we want you to know that we will continue to be here to serve you with the comfort and support as you have come to expect.
