Deborah Ann Schlagel Diggs, age 69, of Fairmont, N.C., formerly of Connoquenessing, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at UNC Health Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Margaret Patrick Schlagel.
Deborah was a retired sales manager.
She was a talented seamstress and crafter, but – above all – she was an amazing wife and mother who always put her family, friends, and others first.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Diggs; two daughters, Amy (Mark) Tolkacevic, of Wellington, Fla., and Heather (Jesse) Kline, of Fayetteville, N.C.; two brothers, Ronald (Mary) Miller, of New Waterford, Ohio, and Robert (Mary) Schlagel, of Butler; five grandchildren, Ryan Kitajima, Julia Kitajima, Abigail Tolkacevic, Luke Tolkacevic and Emma Kline; and one great-grandchild, Elina Kitajima.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Wednesday, April 3, from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 4, at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Martin, of Valencia United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will take place in North Side Cemetery, Butler.
