Eileen M. (McKinnon) Solomich

With incredible sorrow, the family of Eileen (McKinnon) Solomich announces her death

on October 19, 2021. Eileen was a lifetime Pittsburgher who grew up in Hazelwood and
raised her family in Squirrel Hill. Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her husband of
43 years, Tom, and their sons Kevin (Juar), Mark, and Gregory. Eileen was
predeceased by her parents, William and Anne Marie McKinnon, and brothers Joseph
and William. She is survived by sisters Maureen and Kathleen along with many loving
nephews and nieces and other family members.
Eileen’s special gift was her loving, gentle spirit that would welcome, comfort, and
embrace all she met. She touched the hearts of everyone. Her warmth, kindness, and
joyful sense of humor will be forever remembered. She cherished being a wife to Tom
and a mom to her boys and her little dog Tanny.
The family invites all to join in a funeral Mass celebrating her at 10:30 AM on Monday,
October 25th at St Jude Parish-Sacred Heart Church, 310 Shady Ave. Pittsburgh PA
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to

Little Sisters of the Poor.
