Sherry Brown Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend,

Sherry Lynn Cottom Brown, on April 14, 2025, at the age of 64. Sherry was born on October 6th, 1960, in Sewickley, Pa

Sherry possessed a remarkable gift for making others feel seen, heard, and deeply valued.

Sherry was a woman of deep compassion, resilience, and boundless love.

Her life was a testament to the power of family and faith, and she will be remembered for the warmth she brought to every room,

the strength she showed in every storm, and the unwavering support she gave to those she held dear.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Grace Cottom, and her cherished daughter, Robyn Brown.

Their memory lived on in her every day, and now they are reunited.

Sherry leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Keisha Moeray Cottom, Andrea Grace Brown, and Tynal Brown.

She was the proud and adoring grandmother to D’Amante, Da’Mahj, Caliua, Lamont, Anya, Da’Neko, Da’Kari, Monarae,

Alaya Lynn, Daylee, Kinslee, and Kiylee, and a doting great-grandmother to her precious DeAmani.

She is survived by her devoted father, Harold Cottom Jr.; her sister’s Andrea Cottom Anderson(Melvin), Marpessa Adams;

and her brothers Harold Cottom III (Marina) and Stephen J. Cottom (Lisa).

Sherry’s love also extended deeply to her many nieces, nephews, extended family members,

and dear friends who were blessed to know her.

Sherry will be forever missed, but her legacy isn’t just in the names of those she leaves behind—

it’s in the way she made us feel. It’s in the way she listened without judgment, gave without hesitation,

and believed without question. Though her absence leaves a space that can never be filled, her love, laughter,

and strength will live on in our hearts forever.

We are grateful for the time we had with her and take comfort in knowing she is now at peace.
